The Project
Since the tragic events on October 7th, 2023, families across Israel have lost their homes and all of their worldly possessions.
The overwhelming need has caused a low supply of government housing and many families are reporting to be living in one-bedroom hotel rooms with their large families.

Children are in need of psychological services, and parents have reported traumatic experiences fending off terrorists and are now without any psychological support. And on top of the emotional strain of the tragedy, breadwinners of families have lost their jobs and cannot provide for their families.​
In response to the humanitarian crisis evolving in Israel, the Jewish and Israeli community in Metro-Atlanta with the Chabad Israeli Center, has opened their hearts and homes to provide homes to the Israeli families evacuated from Southern Israel.
The Mission: Embrace Israel objective is to provide a 30-60 day retreat for victims of terror, including housing, food and necessary medical & and psychological services in the United States.​ We accommodate these victims through our network of host families in Jewish communities, with central hubs for groups of approximately 100 victims.​
The central hubs are Chabad Houses & and Community Centers, where meals and programming are provided. Children attend schooling and after-school programs. The victims are provided with much-needed psychological and medical services from our network of Hebrew-speaking teachers and medical Professionals.

We are expecting 50+ Israeli families to arrive in Metro Atlanta during the upcoming weeks, where they will be hosted and cared for by the local community. We are providing travel expenses, housing, transportation, and other allowances they may need. In addition to that, we are collaborating with local administrations to provide education to the children, as well as leisure activities for the entire family.

Mission: Embrace Israel stands to raise the funds needed to support victims of terrorism right here in Atlanta, providing rehabilitation for hundreds of affected families.
